About Me
Dede Kolb is a wife, mother, and self-described reluctant author from East Texas who spent the first twenty-five years of her marriage certain she was not mother material — and the next chapter of her life proving herself completely wrong.
She did not set out to write books. She set out to be obedient. What began as a personal journal of one family's unlikely adoption journey became Adopted for Good, an award-winning children's book that has won nine awards since its release. And what began as "I need to tell the rest of the story" became Meant for Good — her debut memoir.
Dede writes the way she lives — conversationally, honestly, and with the conviction that God wastes nothing. Not the broken road. Not the closed doors. Not even the reluctant author.
